An overview
The course is a self-paced, structured audio-slide presentation in two parts. Each part is followed by a quiz with a 70% pass rate. Part I provides an overview of the opioid crisis. Part II covers the prevention and treatment of opioid use disorders and other substance use disorders, including FDA-approved treatments. It also provides referrals for appropriate treatment of patients with or at risk of developing opioid or other substance use disorders.
The 8-hour, 8 CME AMA PRA Category I Credit(s)™ course meets the one-time training requirement of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licensing standards by covering all relevant topics and legal requirements.
